The History of Tracey House

The Beginning

Way back in 1983 Tracey House was first registered as a care home. Originally a private residence with a wealth of local history, having been built by a Mr. W. Tracey, of Bovey Tracey, the home hosted many dignitaries and was the Jewel in the crown of the Tracey family.

Early Days

The home was originally opened for 7 residents. This grew gradually with the addition of the 'new wing' and then the coach house and cottages.

Outstanding

By 2018 Tracey House had grown to the size it is today, but importantly had been recognised by CQC as providing Outstanding care to its residents.
